H2O Summertime catch-up - Part 6 - Zoooom! Trip to Skye

It all seems like a long time ago now, but back at the end of June, Zoooom! headed north-west to the land of the Cuillins - Skye! Over a long weekend, the party of eight spent time around the unique island snapping away. Name such as the Quiraing, Kilt Rock, The Old Man of Storr and the Coral Beach were all on the itinerary. AND the weather was good for most of the visit. Well done team Zoooom!

H2O Summertime Catch-up Part 5

Soul Survivor Scotland at Lendrick Muir saw a mini invasion from Oban around the beginning of August. The group (of lads) were accompanied by John and Catriona Petit along with Becky and Matt Anderson. There was a fine palette of activities for the group including team sports and some colourful activities around the site. Add to this Christian teaching and worship and you have a grand mix of a fun few days!

eXp Summer camp took place at the beginning of August with a team of 7 leaders and junior leaders joining the 60 strong camp at Benmore Lodge by Dunoon.
Daily activities included outdoor sports, crafts, music and drama workshops and a splendid time of Bible teaching around the fruits of the Spirit!

Tiree Music Festival 2016

Joan Beaton, Becky Burton and Ewen Munro joined up with Rev Elspeth Mclean from 15th – 18th July this summer to attend the Tiree Music festival on behalf of H2O and in support of local churches. They spent time at the festival chatting with festival-goers, many who the team already knew from their work in Oban.

H2O Award 2016

Annually, H2O present the H2O Award to a young person or group of young people who have in some way given back to or served their school or local community. Naomi Campbell was this year’s recipient. Over the past year she has been chair of Argyll and Bute Youth Forum and represented the county on the National forum for YouthBank Scotland. Her positive outlook, encouragement of others and her ‘can-do’ attitude made her the perfect candidate for the 2016 award.
